Lap by Lap, A Legacy was Built

Ever since I was a little girl, motors have been a part of my life. When I was just one year old, I began going to the race track—first to attend my grandfather’s races on Sundays and later brother race go-karts.
I often say I grew up around girls, but I also grew up around boys. After my parents’ divorce, my grandfather stepped in and took on a fatherly role for my brother and me. His love for motorsports became the backdrop of our childhood. It wasn’t just something he enjoyed—it became our rhythm, our routine.
As a child, I didn’t always understand it. While other girls from school went to ballet or made crafts, I spent weekends under the blazing sun, surrounded by the roar of engines and the smell of rubber. I used to wonder why I had to be there. Why I wasn’t at the movies on a Saturday night like everyone else. Why everything revolved around qualifying on Saturdays and a race on Sundays.
But as I grew older, something shifted. What once felt like obligation turned into affection.
Cheering from the bleachers as my boys raced at 200 km/h, I began to treasure those moments—because they weren’t just about motorsports anymore. They were about them.
Grand Prix weekends became something I looked forward to—not just for the adrenaline or the spectacle, but because they were ours. A shared ritual between my grandfather and me. And when I moved away for college, that ritual followed me. He’d still call after every race to discuss the weekend, turning our little tradition into something even more precious.
Formula 1 is a complicated and dangerous sport—but beyond the surface, it is also a fascinating and deeply beautiful one. Built on more than just the laws of physics, Formula 1 is powered by emotion: laughter, hope, ambition, and connection. It is an art form. Everything that unfolds on the track is a harmony of science, passion, skill, and instinct.
Many see F1 as a one-man show—the driver at the wheel. But behind the scenes is where the real magic begins. For a driver to perform at their best, an entire orchestra works in sync: engineers, mechanics, strategists, business leaders, and pit crews. It’s a team sport in its truest form, built on trust and timing.
And when all those moving parts align—when the machine, the minds, and the heart come together— that’s when the real magic happens.
The adrenaline, the thrill, the fear, the excitement—these feelings now live deep within me. My grandfather didn’t just make me a Ferrari fan; he gave me a love for Formula 1 that feels like home, a place where passion and purpose collide. Each lap around the track is a reminder of those Sundays at the race track—where the roar of engines and the rush of speed created a sanctuary for connection, legacy, and love that time can never take away.
